Agenda of the Delegates Meeting of the PFUJ from 25th March to -27th March 2011 at Islamabad

In line with Article VI of the Constitution of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, as well as the decisions Faisalabad BDM held on March27-29, 2009, the Biennual Delegates Meeting (BDM) would be held at Islamabad from 25th March to 27th March 2011.

The agenda has been drawn up with the consultation with the President which is as under:

1.Recitation from the Holy Quran

2.Election of the President to conduct the proceedings of the BDM as envisaged in Article VI Rule 4 of the PFUJ Constitution

3.Approval / confirmation of the minutes of the last BDM held in March 27-28, 2009, at Faisalabad.

4.Secretary General's Report

5.Accounts/Audit Report by Treasurer .

6.Approval / confirmation of the minutes of the last BDM held in March 27-28, 2009, at Faisalabad

7.Proposed Constitutional amendments in the Constitution.

8.Implementation of the 7th Wage Board Award and role of the PFUJ

9.Constitution of 8th / 9th Wage Board Award.

10Government-Press Relationship

11.IFJ, IMS, OSI & other foreign projects and direction for PFUJ

12.Organisational matters.

13.Appeals by FUJ members against the FEC decision confirming decisions of SC for debarring them from basic membership.

14. Report of the Audit Committees

15. Fixation of date and venue of the next BDM to be held in March 2013

16. Any other matter with the permission of the Chair.
