Job Requirements The Associate Manager, Social Media Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing the Social Media engagement strategy for Hyatt's Select service brands Hyatt Place & Hyatt Summerfield Suites. We are committed to engaging our guests through social media, are looking for an experienced individual who understands and is excited about the role social media plays in marketing today and can build our social media presence from the ground up. This person is self-starter, who is looking for an exciting challenge with a globally recognized hotel company.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for developing and executing Social Media engagement strategy for Hyatt's Select service brands and ensuring alignment with business, brand and marketing goals
2. Increase brand awareness and traffic to brand websites by developing an editorial calendar of activities and communications that maintains relevant and engaging content (to include promotion creation and implementation, social-loyalty strategies, and integration with other Hyatt's other brand assets and channels (i.e., loyalty program, email program, etc.)
3. Manage the day-to-day social media channel presence (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Digg, and other social media programs/communities)
4. Drive/own social media innovation for Hyatt Place & Hyatt Summerfield Suites brands staying on top of emerging technology and new media trends to better reach key audiences and drive customer engagement
5. Responsible for monitoring social networks, fully understanding competitors presence, identifying opportunities and threats and offering ideas to address them
6. Responsible for evangelizing social media among Hyatt Place & Hyatt Summerfield Suites brands and serve as the social media expert
7. Write/create/post web content on applicable social channels and be highly responsive to comments and feedback
8. Respond to and manage local hotel's social media initiatives
9. Work closely with Marketing, Public Relations, E-Commerce to deliver social media strategies that align with brand promotions and communications
10. Work with Marketing Analytics to analyze web metrics and strategize accordingly
11. Establish consistency of message across multiple social media channels

The individual we are seeking for this position will be articulate and possess strong communication and project management skills.

1. Basic knowledge of search engine optimization and search engine marketing fundamentals
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Strong organizational, project management and detail orientation skills, with the ability to multi-task
4. Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced professional environment
5. High degree of energy and enthusiasm
6. Possess a can-do positive attitude, out-going, pro-active, team-oriented
7. Displays initiative and readily accepts responsibility
8. Ability to stay on top of new media trends and technology.

Education, Certification & Licenses:
Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree a plus

Experience:
4-6 years experience business to consumer marketing preferably in the travel industry with at least 2 years of dedicated experience in the Social Media, Digital and Mobile Marketing space
Demonstrated passion and experience in the Social Media space
Proven track record of developing and executing social media communication plans.

Computer Skills:
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
