Kidnapped: 9 abducted in 24 hours

Six young girls and two married women kidnapped from various parts of district.

FAISALABAD:

Nine people, including six young girls and two married women, were kidnapped from various parts of the district during the past 24 hours. In Dagranwan Pul, Mehboob and his three accomplices allegedly kidnapped Sumera, 23, on gun point when she was returning home from a bazaar.

Nishatabad resident, Komal, 21, was kidnapped from the Railway Quarters by unknown persons and Razia Bibi, 28, was abducted from Chak No229-RB on Friday evening.

Similarly, Iram was kidnapped from Chak No218-RB, while a married woman Riffat was taken from Chak No279-RB. In another incident, Nawaz reportedly abducted Aqsa Bibi along with her son from Rehmat Town. Locals have alleged that Shareef and three of his accomplices kidnapped Zainab Bibi from Umar Town.

Local police has registered separate kidnapping cases and have initiated an investigation into all the abductions. Police officials stated that various teams had been constituted for the recovery of the abductees but no one had been recovered so far.
