FAISALABAD:

The divisional administration has established complaint cells at offices of DCOs and EDOs revenue to readdress complaints of farmers, who were involved in acquiring loans.

An official spokesman told reporters on Tuesday, that arrangements had been made to issue maximum loans to small farmers through cooperative societies in the division. He said growers had been asked if they faced any difficulties obtaining loans, and said they could lodge complaint with cells established in their areas, adding that Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank would provide soft loans to growers on the basis of pass-books for Kharif crops such as cotton, paddy and sugarcane.

Action would be taken against officials who are negligent, careless or are involved in malpractice, and if there are unnecessary delays in extending loans, he said.
